Port forwarding allows you to access your local devices such as cameras, computers, printers, etc from outside your local network. In order to let Roqos Core know how it needs to redirect the external traffic to the correct device within your network, you will need to set up port forwarding rules.

1. Login to Roqos webapp at login.roqos.com.
2. Click on Network > Advanced Settings > Port Forwarding.
3. Click Add Rule.
4. Give the rule a name that helps you identify the rule (eg. “Security Camera”)
5. For “Source IP”, enter the IP address of the device you will be using to connect from outside your network. In most cases, leaving the “Any” option is a safe bet for devices with dynamic IP addresses. In rare cases where the IP of the device is static, you can choose “Custom” and specify the IP address.
6. For “Destination IP”, enter the IP address of the device within your local network that you wish to connect to. In order to ensure the IP address of this device remains the same, we recommend that you setup a static IP assignment before creating the port forwarding rule.
7. For “External Port” and “Internal Port”, you can specify any number between 1 and 65,535. If you wish to simply enter a single port instead of a range, just make sure both start and end port numbers are the same. If you choose to specify a range, the External Port and the Internal Port ranges will need to match.
8. For “Protocol”, we recommend that you keep “TCP & UDP” unless you know the specific protocol the device inside your local network uses.

You can set up as many port forwarding rules as you like for each device on your network. You can also temporarily disable a rule by by toggling off the “Enabled” switch for the desired rule.
